Supplementary credit & identity

SageStream

SageStream is a LexisNexis Risk Solutions specialty reporting company that supplies supplementary consumer reports and scores for credit, retail, utility, wireless, auto, and other service decisions.

What the report is used for

Supplementing creditworthiness, identity, and fraud review for auto lenders, credit-card issuers, retailers, utilities, wireless providers, and other service providers.

If it appears on an adverse-action notice

A notice naming SageStream means the decision-maker used the distinct SageStream report or score. LexisNexis owns SageStream and shares consumer-center routes with it, but a generic LexisNexis disclosure should not be assumed to identify the same report without checking the notice and response.

What may be in the report.

The actual fields depend on the product ordered and whether the company has information about you.

  • Identity, address, and application information used to match the SageStream file
  • Information supplied by creditors, retailers, utilities, mobile providers, or other companies identified in the report
  • SageStream report inquiries, consumer-report information, and a SageStream score when provided
Official consumer routes

Request, freeze, or dispute the right file.

Use these direct paths instead of a paid credit-repair service or a phone number from an unsolicited message. A freeze at one company does not automatically freeze another report.

Request your report

The SageStream site now sends report requests to the shared LexisNexis consumer portal. State that the notice names SageStream and confirm which report the response provides.

Freeze information

The shared portal says one request covers both LexisNexis and SageStream, subject to state-law permissible-purpose exceptions. It does not freeze Equifax, Experian, TransUnion, Innovis, or another company.

Dispute an error

SageStream retains a distinct dispute route. Use the SageStream report number and identify the exact application, inquiry, account, identity detail, or score information being challenged.

Official dispute path

First three steps.

Do not dispute accurate information just because it led to an unfavorable decision.

  1. 01 Save the notice and request the SageStream report through the shared LexisNexis consumer portal.
  2. 02 Confirm whether the response contains the SageStream report, the broader LexisNexis disclosure, or both before identifying an error.
  3. 03 Use SageStream’s own dispute route for a SageStream item; the shared freeze route covers both LexisNexis and SageStream.
Have the denial notice?

Separate the reporting-company disclosure from the decision-maker’s action.

The company that supplied a report usually did not make the final decision. Use the notice decoder to choose the credit, banking, housing, employment, insurance, or utility context, then identify the report and next record to compare.
