Pre-employment and workforce screening using the identity, public-record, driving, credential, employment, education, drug-testing, or other checks selected by an employer.
A pre-adverse or adverse notice naming Accurate means the employer used an Accurate report in considering its decision. Accurate did not make the hiring decision; use the Search ID, order number, or notice to enter the correct support and dispute path.
What may be in the report.
The actual fields depend on the product ordered and whether the company has information about you.
- Identity and address history used to match the candidate
- Criminal, court, driving, employment, education, license, or credential information
- Credit or other screening information only when included in the employer’s lawful screening package
Request, freeze, or dispute the right file.
Use these direct paths instead of a paid credit-repair service or a phone number from an unsolicited message. A freeze at one company does not automatically freeze another report.
Request your report
Accurate’s support page explains how to request a report or full-file disclosure and how to distinguish its AccurateAccel and AccurateAce workflows.

Use the platform identified in your notice or report and challenge the exact incomplete or inaccurate result. Accurate says it notifies the report requester when a dispute begins and when the reinvestigation ends.

Official dispute pathFirst three steps.
Do not dispute accurate information just because it led to an unfavorable decision.
- 01 Save the report, pre-adverse notice, employer name, Search ID or order number, and the response deadline.
- 02 Compare each challenged result with the originating court, motor-vehicle agency, school, employer, or licensing record.
- 03 File a focused Accurate dispute and tell the employer promptly that the reported item is under reinvestigation.
Separate the reporting-company disclosure from the decision-maker’s action.
The company that supplied a report usually did not make the final decision. Use the notice decoder to choose the credit, banking, housing, employment, insurance, or utility context, then identify the report and next record to compare.
