Pre-employment and, where authorized by law, ongoing workforce screening using the searches and verifications selected by the employer.
A notice naming ADP SASS means the employer used a report prepared through ADP Screening & Selection Services. ADP SASS did not make the employment decision; use the employer and report information from the notice to request or dispute the correct screening.
What may be in the report.
The actual fields depend on the product ordered and whether the company has information about you.
- Identity and Social Security number verification, public records, and criminal history
- Prior employment, education, credentials, military service, and driving records
- Credit, workers’ compensation, drug-testing, or other information only when lawfully included in the ordered screening package
Request, freeze, or dispute the right file.
Use these direct paths instead of a paid credit-repair service or a phone number from an unsolicited message. A freeze at one company does not automatically freeze another report.
Request your report
Open Applicant Resources on ADP Select to request copies of reports. ADP’s current confirmation page directs consumers to call 800-367-5933 (press 8) for a report older than two years.

Use the ADP SASS dispute form or contact Consumer Support and identify the exact result. ADP says it notifies the employer when the dispute is filed and resolved.

Official dispute pathFirst three steps.
Do not dispute accurate information just because it led to an unfavorable decision.
- 01 Save the ADP SASS report, employer notice, and any deadline before a final employment decision.
- 02 Compare the challenged entry with the original court, agency, employer, school, licensing body, or other named source.
- 03 File the specific dispute with ADP SASS and notify the employer that the background report is under review.
Separate the reporting-company disclosure from the decision-maker’s action.
The company that supplied a report usually did not make the final decision. Use the notice decoder to choose the credit, banking, housing, employment, insurance, or utility context, then identify the report and next record to compare.
