Short-term and installment lending, nonprime auto lending and leasing, and other nonprime credit-risk decisions that use loan-performance data, analytics, or scoring.
A notice naming FactorTrust means the lender relied on a FactorTrust report, score, or verification product. FactorTrust did not make the lender’s decision, and its specialty file is separate from a TransUnion nationwide credit report.
What may be in the report.
The actual fields depend on the product ordered and whether the company has information about you.
- Nonprime loan accounts, performance, balances, status, and payment events reported by lenders
- Identity, address, and application information used to match the requested FactorTrust file
- FactorTrust inquiries, report records, and a FactorTrust risk score when included
Request, freeze, or dispute the right file.
Use these direct paths instead of a paid credit-repair service or a phone number from an unsolicited message. A freeze at one company does not automatically freeze another report.
Request your report
FactorTrust provides an online personal-report request. The CFPB lists one free report every 12 months, with mail and phone support also available.

FactorTrust accepts online disputes. Use a current report to identify the exact lender, account, event, identifier, inquiry, or score input being challenged.

Official dispute pathFirst three steps.
Do not dispute accurate information just because it led to an unfavorable decision.
- 01 Request the FactorTrust report named in the notice, not only a TransUnion nationwide report.
- 02 Compare the contributing lender, loan terms, balance, payment events, dates, inquiries, and identity information with your records.
- 03 Dispute a specific error through FactorTrust and the lender or other source that furnished it.
Separate the reporting-company disclosure from the decision-maker’s action.
The company that supplied a report usually did not make the final decision. Use the notice decoder to choose the credit, banking, housing, employment, insurance, or utility context, then identify the report and next record to compare.
